24-year-old model Jacopo Olmo (Heroes Models) steals the spotlight as he stars in our latest feature. The Italian model links up with New York-based photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca for the occasion. A long way from home, the Rome-raised model began his career after following the suggestions of model friends. Known for his bold style and orange hair, Jacopo describes his look as “original and unique!”

Jacopo explains, “In fact, I always mix different styles and decades; I use my personal attitude as a finishing touch to let them mesh perfectly!” When it comes to style inspirations, the Italian model refers to “a lot of things.” He says, “I can say my soul lives in the past but my eyes are following the future! I get my biggest inspiration from seventies/eighties rebels–rock ‘n’ roll characters like John Lydon, Billy Idol, and David Bowie.”

Referencing other decades, Jacopo continues, “I love the nineties clubbing culture too. I was born during that period and it has influenced a lot of my style and character.” The model jests, “I also consider myself a futuristic guy–I love to dress as if I came from future!”

Fitting a punk image, Jacopo explains what it means to be punk. The model shares, “Being punk to me means express your personality and yourself to the limits. You can’t choose to be punk. It all depends by your energy levels!” Jacopo exclaims, “Sometimes I feel like I have too much energy inside that not even my body is able to handle it…so I have to release it and give it to the world. In my case it’s a positive energy but can also burn like fire.”

When it comes to the future, Jacopo is an open book. Thinking about the future, Jacopo comments, “I’m trying to do as much as I can, enjoying and getting the best out of everyday so I won’t have any regrets in the future. I have many dreams to follow…it’s a difficult path but if I keep working hard and staying focused with my current energy, I believe I will have my chance.”

Discussing the future in depth, Jacopo offers, “I’d love to become an example for the next generation and leave something to them; not just my style but also a deeper message. I hope I can do something different and new from what others in the industry have done before. In the end, I just really hope that I will be happy with what I’ve achieved.”
