Photographer Sigrid Mayer (Some Velvet Morning Photography) brings us our latest feature. Mayer links up with Body&Soul Vienna model, Marlon Schreyer Dupuy. The young model follows in the footsteps of his famous father, Werner Schreyer. Taking to the studio for a photo shoot with Mayer, Marlon sports a wardrobe styled by Julia Marinics (Stilenotes). Groomed by Christine Akbaba, Marlon sports fun and sporty fashions from brands such as Adidas.
Marlon began modeling at 17-years-old. Taking pictures of himself, he started applying to modeling agencies in Munich, Germany. The fresh face recalls, “Becoming a young man or a teenager, my mum proposed the idea to me to take my chances to become a male model. So I tried and Body&Soul Vienna has opened the doors for me.”
However, Marlon is still focused on receiving a quality education. When it comes to priorities, he explains, “For me it’s academics first. For sure! I started to study international economics in Vienna with the focus on fashion management.”
Marlon confesses, “I wasn’t sure about what I wanted to be in life for a long, long time and I thought I’ll never find my own profession. That’s a problem many young adults my age have. But thinking about it for hours, I found my answer. It’s being happy with what you do and identify with it. It’s that simple for a explanation…I’m pretty darn happy with it.”
Holding Vienna in high esteem, Marlon shares, “Since I can remember, my ,um took me to Vienna on our summer break, because the years she was spending in the city were pretty emotional and a big chapter in her life. I assume it was probably because she got to know my father there.”
On the contrary, Marlon still enjoys Munich. He comments, “I love the city of Munich. Shout-out by the way. But I needed to see something else. I’m still around though. Four hours by train.”
Leaving some parting words, Marlon conveys a life motto. He relates, “My mum always told me to be yourself, even when somebody isn’t approving it. Being different is valuable and it defines your own identity. Somebody loves you for who you are. That’s it.”
