London-based desiger Asger Juel Larsen turns to sci-fi inspirations for his latest collection. Employing standout materials, ranging from PVC and synthetic rubber to quilted leather, Larsen crafts an armor for his futuristic protagonist. Moved by the apocalyptic nature of Richard Rogers’ Easton London TSB Lloyds building and films like Titus by Julie Taymor, the collection revolves around a tension between both fitted and oversized garments. From the second skin feel of trousers to the dramatic proportions of outerwear, Asger Juel Larsen delivers another memorable collection, which will no doubt make its editorial rounds.
