If anything, fall 2010 was the season of the character. While designers such as Kris Van Assche upheld his solemn but romantic hero, brands like Guess tapped into a general appeal with a nod to Elvis. Meanwhile, Versace shook up their image with a modern tryst with leather and longhair. From fun and games with Ellen Von Unwerth and a meeting of the new Hilfiger family to simple backstage moments at Etro, the season came to fruition with modest strides in design, but an abundance of wealth in terms of personality and attitude.
