Malfunction Era–Following a first look at Krane’s mainline collection, we have the pleasure of presenting the lookbook for K by Krane’s spring/summer 2014 collection. Offering a more upbeat alternative, K by Krane looks to travel for inspiration, filtering military influences through the use of modern maps. Photographed by Adam Levett, Satoshi Toda of New York Model Management is enlisted to showcase the spring/summer offering. Embodying a malfunctioning world of modern locators, Krane utilized water resource maps, GPS, Google Maps, temperature-sensitive maps, failed Apple Maps and wormholes to inform a charming print that puts the focus on mapping errors, especially a destroyed Google 3D rendering of China’s Danxia mountains. / Art direction by Ron Wan. / Production by Jessica Tjeng.
