A

merican workwear gets a modern day revamp with New Jersey based label Forged Identity. The label is the result of the aspirations of childhood friends Joseph Cassesse, Joseph Troiano and Kevin Goldstein. The trio’s hopes are for Forged Identity to represent a clothing line that is “true to their industrial and construction background, while stretching the limits of conventional menswear. What these men call ‘anti-glamour’, roots itself in the ideology of design that conveys both elegance and masculinity.” The American-made fall collection is best presented through the lookbook that showcases individual pieces in different arrangements. Embracing a color palette of various shades of black, gray, and beige, interchangeable blazers, waistcoats, shirts, trousers, and outerwear round out the collection. The intermixing of pieces smartly demonstrates the same type of versatility needed to forge one’s own style identity.
