The American Colony–When it comes to the pre-fall 2013 season, GANT Rugger reports for duty with a little humor in check. Inspired by the true story of a group of US army soldiers who by no accident disappeared during World War II while on duty in Algeria, the collection takes a playful poke at history. Blending in with civilians, the deserters were referred to as The American Colony. Imagining their symbolic gentleman of the Ivy League quality in this situation, life as they know it, including American sportswear is reinvented within the context of what materials are available.
