Designer George McCracken has come a long way from visual merchandiser at Bergdorf Goodman to having the store as one of his stockists. McCracken’s clothes embrace minimalist design and are tailored to function. This fall, McCracken tackles suiting with a fine eye for simple but chic pieces. The clean lines and slender silhouettes place McCracken amongst the best when suit hunting this fall.

  1. if i had no taste and worked at barneys merchandising dept like this sudo-designer for this label has for almost 4 year I would think that his second collection was a success. Thankfully I didn’t and therefore, I am not — two cheers for the clearance bin!!

  3. This collection exhibits a certain degree of the so-called depression fashion — which isn’t the genuine modus operandi of what should be an indispensable prerequisite of the fashion industry at the very moment: Not merely going with the times but constituting an aura of serendipitous discovery that lays the foundation for exquisite surprises.

  5. Beautiful clothes! It’s nice to see a designer who incorporates so much function with his style. These clothes are very stylish to those who pay attention to the detail, but also easy to wear in any setting. I love them! McCracken also uses wonderful fabrics…. I especially like the brown sweater pictured here.

How snobbish of you, “blank stare” to criticize this designer for his background… following a passion and achieving success through hard work is quintessentially American!

  7. The details in his clothes is amazing, the fabrics are first rate. I own the suit pictured here& I love wearing it, I wear it every chance that I get. Check him out you will not be disapointed.
