georgina vendrell is a new and talented catalan fashion designer born in barcelona in 1983 who studied at the “institut català de la moda” and worked with joseph font haute couture. georgina presented her first collection “bad boys” at the 24th edition of modafad in 2007 and was awarded the prize for the best collection. in september 2008, she made her debut at the ego cibeles madrid fashion week with the “skeleton shapes” collection. last march she was selected by an international jury to present her autumn-winter 0910 collection at 080 barcelona fashion.
georgina vendrell’s aw0910 collection is entitled “51” after the cold and dark winter of finland and the number of bright days in the country. the style of this third collection is simple and dark, with many different fabrics (noticeably faux fur) playing on mat and shiny, and a great diversity of shapes for a contemporary man. black is predominant and mixed with grey, brown, red, cream, blue or purple. the youthful silhouettes are comfortable, mixing sportswear and tailoring with a punk-like schoolboy feel.
georgina vendrell is one of the few women designing for men and definitely one to watch!

those coats will stop for nobody! Love the show overall. I can see myself integrating many of those pieces into my fall wardrobe.
