Introducing Wingmate-If you have ever encountered that incredibly cruel collar that just won’t stay down no matter how many times you try to press it, Wingmate has the solution. The new men’s brand founded by Alan Vladusic and Cheo Vidal uses a double-sided adhesive triangle, perfect for solving unruly fashion dilemmas. The wingmate is the perfect companion for floppy collars, misbehaving ties, droopy pocket squares and more. As Vladusic and Vidal say, “Wingmate is all about creating that polished look before you step out the door.” The miracle men’s product is available to purchase at Wingmate.us.

How did you two come together?
We were actually introduced by Cheo’s girlfriend (at the time) who Alan worked with. She was trying to introduce us for quite some time but we both were not trying to meet another guy. I was like “I have enough guy friends.” But that said, once we met it was like we were old friends.

When did you notice the problem that caused you to look into creating Wingmate?
We both noticed it at different times independently. Alan realized the problem back in Germany in 2008 and formed a home-made solution. However, I realized the problem around 2006 and I asked my tailor to try to fix it but it just made it worse as he just made the collar larger.

Describe your personal sense of style.
Alan: Tom Ford meets Slash.
Cheo: Classic with a twist of bold, love to pay homage to yester-year via bow-ties.

Are there any more products in the works?
Yes absolutely, but we are keeping those particulars close to the vest. Let’s just say we will be re-imagining an essential men’s product.

What’s your style essential?
Cheo: Proper fitting clothes above all else.
Alan: I couldn’t agree more. You can wear as much disposable fashion as you like but if it’s fitted you can make anything look good.

Who makes the best shirt?
Cheo: Reiss for dress; Zara for Casual .
Alan: Dress or casual, spend a few dollars more and get it tailored. It’s really worth it.
