Giorgio Armani entitled his spring-summer 2017 men’s collection Crossing Borders. Approaching the season, Armani sought to refine the house’s DNA through introspection. Embracing change, while still holding on to key identifiers, the season began with fabric. Using natural textures, linen and cotton were worn and distressed as Armani combined the essential fibers with geometric motifs. Adding silk to the mix, the collection featured deconstructed shapes in a romantic color palette of Pompeian red, grey, light blue and ecru. Encompassing a perceived lightness, Giorgio Armani bridged the gap between metropolitan and resort with relaxed trousers, summerweight jackets, chic knits and graphic tops.
