Giorgio Armani and Kith team up for fall-winter 2024, presenting their collaborative menswear collection, “The Archetype.” This joint effort unfolds through four capsules, each featuring a distinct silhouette.
Giorgio Armani x Kith Collection
“Even from our earliest conversations, I knew I wanted this collection to revolve around suiting,” says Kith founder Ronnie Fieg.
“To me, ‘suit’ and ‘Giorgio Armani’ are synonymous. As I began ideating on the story to tell, I knew I wanted to pay homage and respect to Mr. Armani’s career and life by representing the men who I feel he has inspired the most.”
Fieg adds, “There are so many people around the world from different walks of life who have been influenced by Mr. Armani and who share the universal language of wearing a Giorgio Armani suit. This is how we came up with the concept of The Archetypes.”
The first capsule, “The Artist,” opens the collection and features acclaimed director Martin Scorsese. His presence is no coincidence. A longtime Armani collaborator, Scorsese directed “Made in Milan,” a documentary exploring the designer’s life.
Scorsese and Fieg also share a deep connection to New York. They both call the iconic city their hometown, and their work reflects its creative spirit.
The wardrobe for “The Artist” remains dark and sleek. The standout is a double-breasted suit crafted in black virgin wool, epitomizing the effortless sophistication for which Armani is known.
The capsule extends into outerwear with a trench coat and bomber jacket while layering pieces like a zip shirt, marled cashmere-silk turtleneck, and quilted vest round out the offering.
Accessories follow suit, with a Kith x Giorgio Armani monogram-debossed leather document bag, boucle and cable-knit scarves, and a beanie completing the look.
With its blend of tailoring and modern sensibility, “The Archetype” sets the tone for the rest of the season and promises more to come.
