A fusion of eastern and western design ideas came together for Giorgio Armani’s latest menswear collection. Embracing various hues of black, charcoal and navy, soft textures were blended for layered ensembles that exuded an easy nature. The cable-knit sweater was revisited with shorter proportions and lines sent askew, while trousers hit the catwalk with both a drop crotch and regular inseam. Checks and plaids also made the grade, bridging the gap between casual and formal design details. Altogether, Armani mixed time tested standards for a smart collection of wardrobe staples in diverse proportions.
