The Essence of Elegance–The opening looks of Giorgio Armani’s spring/summer 2013 menswear collection, instantly revealed the mood of the designer: creating calm and comfortable pieces in classic hues, that emphasize a refined sophistication. For summer 2013 the Armani man has chosen a wardrobe that includes a multitude of stylish and fluid jackets that enhance his silhouette in a soft and gentle way. Designed in classic shades of grey and blues, in sandy and neutral hues or embellished with graphic and geometric patterns, the jackets are once again the key-pieces adding a touch of sartorial elegance to the look. Paired with pants pleated at the front and tapered to the ankle, or matched with knee-length shorts, the looks deliver a calm and elegant allure, even the simpler ones. Knitwear has an important role inside the collection, defining the more casual silhouettes, embellished with geometric patterns, while leather adds a bold twist to the looks. Used as detail to the lapels of the jackets and the coats, or used to create luxury crocodile jackets, or beautiful accessories, it reinforces the concept of modern luxury. The more sensuous side of this collection is certainly represented by fluid and deconstructed jackets, vests and cardigans, worn on bare skin, this without minimizing the elegant refinement of the whole collection. Once again Giorgio Armani leads in a journey that is a byword for elegance, creating wearable and masculine looks, with a huge attention for every tiny detail, in other words, this collection perfectly represents what Giorgio Armani does best: creating elegance.
