Givenchy Fall/Winter 2014-Presenting his latest collection for French fashion house Givenchy, creative director Riccardo Tisci truly challenged his man’s devotion to a streetwear-inspired aesthetic, turning to basketball for inspiration. Prompting his most urban collection to date, the sportiness of the occasion was juxtaposed with mesh-covered faces and slicked back hair. Oversized suits were presented as a minimal overture, while their flashier counterparts played into a series of blank canvases, covered in abstract prints. From sweatshirts and bombers to leather jackets, the basketball court was interpreted for graphic lines. Dispersed throughout the collection as a finishing touch, Tisci added fur, blending a casual sportiness with luxe ideas.
