As usual, Gucci’s latest runway show is quite the spectacle to review. The Italian fashion house staged its cruise 2018 co-ed runway show in Florence. The venue was none other than the Palatina Gallery at Palazzo Pitti. The storied location provides endless inspiration for Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele. Approaching the season, a rock ‘n’ roll attitude collides with references to Greek and Roman culture.

Expanding on straight silhouettes, the collection’s shorts and pants explore a baggy territory. Meanwhile, Michele has fun with Gucci’s image, courtesy of a new Guccy motif. Garden inspirations also contribute to the range with plenty of floral prints. Finally, slouchy cardigan sweaters, embellished pullovers, and plaid outerwear point to a quirky but smart Gucci man.
