Summer AwayGucci creative director Frida Giannini envisioned a warm summer in the Mediterranean when considering the inspiration for her latest collection. Set to the tune of menswear tailored classics in a vast spectrum of cheerful hues, Gucci’s man felt very European. From lime green and mustard yellow to electric blue, these were not suits for the fussy. Keeping an open mind and a colorful spirit, sportswear and suits alike made a loud impression with Gucci’s iconic loafers as the ultimate status symbol. Meanwhile, a calm sea of blue ushered in dusty hues and sharp lines, met with slightly oversized jackets and finally the eventful return to black with everything from a chunky knit and mesh polo to dapper suit.
