New York-based designer Robert Geller sets his eyes on a new chapter with the launch of a new line, Gustav von Aschenbach. The brand’s name comes from the classic Thomas Mann novel, Death in Venice. Gustav von Aschenbach shares the same name as the novel’s main character.

Geller warms up to the novel’s references to contemporary influences, which take into account everything from music to Freud’s psychological findings. Gustav von Aschenbach launches on July 11, 2017 during New York Fashion Week: Men’s.
The new line presents Geller with the opportunity to offer more streamlined designs at a more affordable price point. Although the collection will be shown to buyers, it will make its public debut next spring as a see it, buy it now range.
