WWD reports that Hedi Slimane has a new gig. After departing Saint Laurent in 2016, Slimane returns to fashion at the creative helm of LVMH brand Céline. The designer will act as the fashion house’s artistic, creative, and image director. Expanding the brand’s offering, Slimane is slated to launch menswear, couture, and fragrances. LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault shares, I am particularly happy that Hedi is back within the LVMH Group and taking the creative reins of our Céline maison.

Meanwhile, Slimane relates that he is delighted to join Bernard Arnault in this all-embracing and fascinating mission for Céline. I greatly look forward to returning to the exciting world of fashion and the dynamism of the ateliers.
