Uniformity reigns over House of Holland’s fall collection.  Inspired by a designer’s best friend, Henry Holland based his latest collection on Pantone colors.  Large horizontal bars work as dividers for monochromatic ensembles.  The focus on suiting pieces show a maturity in the function of Holland’s pieces, but his direction for color poses an issue of accessibility.  Pieces like the coat with coattails or the boxy waistcoat are interesting, but the use of bars are intrusive and likely to break the harmony in most wardrobes.  However–hit or miss, Mr. Holland deserves credit for not following the path of his peers and playing it safe.
