New York Post reports that Interview magazine is the latest publication to fold. The Peter Brant-owned publication filed for a Chapter 7 liquidation, according to a senior employee. Staffers found out about the news of the magazine’s closure at a meeting Monday morning. Interview’s closure comes as no surprise because of the magazine’s ongoing legal and business troubles.

In February, Interview was allegedly kicked out of its Soho office for not paying rent. Page Six cited the magazine’s former editorial director Fabien Baron suing for $600,000 over unpaid wages. He resigned from the magazine in April after nearly a decade as editorial director.

News of Interview’s shuttering hits hard. A cultural milestone, Andy Warhol founded the magazine in 1969. The glossy quickly became known for its features with stars interviewing their peers. Throughout the years, Interview featured icons such as Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Madonna, and John Travolta on its covers.
