Spiegel Online recently posted an interview they did with Karl Lagerfeld’s ex-employee Arnaud Maillard. In the interview, Maillard dishes about Lagerfeld’s narcissism and his new book “Merci Karl!”
Maillard on Karl Lagerfeld:
“He’s an unbelievable narcissist. He needs an eternity to get ready in the morning. He takes photos of himself at every photo shoot and puts them everywhere. He surrounds himself with a kind of royal court, nobody disagrees with him. Wherever he goes, there is Pepsi-Cola in a Baccarat crystal glass waiting for him and it gets replaced every 30 minutes. It’s like the 18th century.”

No Shit! Karl is a diva, and its okay. We expect that from him. When your a genius, your allowed to be a bitch. ie Anna Wintour.
How disappointing. It makes me sad that people think that this kind of behavior is okay. Fashion is great and all. But in the end, it’s just clothes.
