Biker Chic–Issey Miyake took a sporty, relaxed path this season turning to the bicyclist as muse. Looking for a larger than life flair, whether it comes in the form of fantastic oversized shapes or vibrant colors, the collection was at once, a separate identity from the season’s common trends. With a static chest and steroid-injected sleeves, a clean vision hit the runway, featuring lightweight outerwear, particularly the poncho and parka, paired with complementary shorts. Accented with fluorescent hues, a crisp color palette became more vivid with elongated shirts and knitwear, dressed in intense dip dyes. Meanwhile, an intersection of bold thick lines indicated a more experimental cross-section for the season with stiff silhouettes offering a structured counterpart to loose, fluid shapes.
