Young, fit and armed with classic good looks, James Hampson makes for the perfect Valentino man as the label moves forward in a modern direction. Giving their timeless expertise in tailoring a refreshing new spruce, the label looks to leather and studs to add a young edge. From buttery soft leather carryalls and striking eveningwear to a surprisingly simple array of denim, Valentino manages to balance a strong heritage built on the classics with a much needed contemporary twist.

  1. "Refreshing", "Young Edge", "Contemporary" which part? This looks more like H&M fall2009 than a heritage luxury brand for fall 2010, a perfect example of how just using expensive fabrics does not make the design desirable

  3. The model was great, but whoever is designing the clothes should be fired. this doesnt say luxury or cool to me, and those studded brogues are so autumn 2009

  5. ..well, it's obvious that they are trying to appeal to a younger audience. People wish Gap made clothes that actually look like this and fit well. The clothes appear well-made, contemporary and wearable at the same time. i personally think this is a good basic direction for them to build on.
