The New Knitwear–Season after season, knitwear is revisited by many fashion designers, that try to combine the softness of the yarns with new and hi-tech ways to work them, in order to revamp this essential garment, without losing its functional appeal. Next season’s knits are the subject of this story, lensed by Jeff Hahn, which is included in Rollacoaster’s latest issue. Teaming up with stylist Andrew Davis, Hahn captures Elite London model Almantas Petkunas in a selection of fall knits, playing with the contrast between colors and textures. From Gucci’s pea green jumpers and black leather trousers, Prada’s checked shirts and minimal jumpers or Raf Simons’ colorful shirts and fairy tales inspired motifs that decorate sleeveless jumpers, fall knitwear shows its multifaceted allure and an eclectic and fashionable twist. / Photography assistance by Pierre-Luc Moisan.
