Jil Sander’s storied inclination for sharp, clean lines find a somber voice in a military aesthetic for creative director Rodolfo Paglialunga’s fall-winter 2016 men’s collection. Taking a strong stand for the season, outerwear was front and center. Beginning with coats, impeccably tailored numbers were harnessed and paired with pleated trousers and leather footwear.
Evolving the style proposal with shirt jackets and jumpsuits, Paglialunga also introduced his fair share of leather pieces. Bringing a hard edge to the collection, leather trousers, shirts and jackets also played with the idea of the norm, offering up a contrast of soft alternatives.
