Jil Sander creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier connect with photographer Chris Rhodes once more. The Meier’s seek out Rhodes for Jil Sander’s spring-summer 2022 campaign. Rhodes brings their vision for the season to fruition with help from art director Heiko Keinath.
Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2022 Campaign
Chris Rhodes takes to Paris for spring with Lucie and Luke Meier, interpreting the French destination as a metaphor for all cities. The campaign explores an attitude of here and now for Jil Sander. Rhodes shares photos of people and objects, delighting in a mix of abstract shapes and colors, much like the modern Jil Sander aesthetic.

Rhodes captures models Moustapha Sy and Henry Kitcher, citing the Jil Sander campaign as a series of random and unstaged images. The pair showcase menswear from Jil Sander’s spring-summer 2022 collection. Lightweight knits and clean tailoring come together with ornate accessories.
“The most satisfying aspect of these campaign projects is working closely with the authors and our team,” says Lucie and Luke Meier. “Travelling, improvising, finding new dimensions in what we do. It is important to see the things you do in the world. And we are extremely happy of the affinity that bonds Chris and us together and the way he expands the borders of our vision in the work we do together.”
