Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer 2015–For the new season, Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi wanted something different for the fashion label’s man. She explains, “With this collection I wanted to take the Jimmy Choo man on an adventure, out of Mayfair, out of his comfort zone, to a deeper, more soulful London capturing another reality of what it means to live in this city. Referencing the work of British photographer John Deakin, I want to tell it how it is through the evolution of the gentleman’s classics with a contemporary and sometimes surprising twist – enter the biosphere of the Jimmy Choo man.” Choi did just that with a collection of simple silhouettes with impeccable details. Playing off of simple fabrics like denim, traditional design motifs came merged with a contemporary attitude, offering styles such as the J Boot, a hybrid combat-style trainer boot.
