After staging a presentation last season, John Varvatos returned to the catwalk for spring-summer 2017. Unveiling his collection during New York Fashion Week: Men, the American designer championed the Urban Romantic. Marrying the idea of old-world craftsmanship with his twist on modern menswear, Varvatos perfected his signature cool.

Sending out tailored fashions with a relaxed flair, soft silhouettes were juxtaposed with easy neutrals. Asymmetric jackets, linen waistcoats, and slim-cut trousers guided the season’s uniform while textured fabrics and cold-dye techniques emphasized a vintage appeal. Meanwhile, narrow-toed boots and Venetian slip-on sneakers gave the Varvatos a man a head to toe look complemented by hand-woven leather belts and must-have totes.
