Returning to the New York Fashion Week schedule, John Varvatos opened his spring-summer 2016 menswear show with model muse Jonas Kesseler. Donning a striped suit over a relaxed tee accessorized with a skinny summer scarf, Jonas immediately captured the attitude of the season. Revisiting the 1970s for inspiration, Varvatos pictured 1970s California, referencing the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Zeppelin. Executed with a certain refinement, lean suits came together with modern essentials such as the striped tee or Varvatos’ signature three-button jackets for a sharp outing. Blending a certain nostalgia with a contemporary flare for style, John Varvatos delivered a successful spring collection.
