Inspired by Italian explorer Pierre de Brazza, Kenzo designer Antonio Marras looked to de Brazza’s African expeditions for the direction of his spring collection. Utilizing a color palette of white, green, gray, blue and sandy browns, Marras toned down Kenzo’s general use of bright colors for a more subdued collection that brings forth the modern camouflage print. Monochromatic and relaxed, the collection is very lounge-inspired, offering light flowing linens and cottons. Burnt details dress the collection’s otherwise casual suiting, while oversized knitting is the perfect compliment for shorts paired with leggings. Clothes that appear bleached and light washed denim add the ultimate lived-in quality that makes for a current collection that lives for the moment.

Kenzo is amazing even without the tons of colors that they love to use… But it is a bit too vintage-looking for my taste…
