Refreshing Youth–Taking into account the cast of predominantly fresh faces and a general relaxed fit, Kolor showcased their spring/summer 2013 collection, achieving the perfect balance of editorial prowess and commercial accessibility. Strutting the runway in sandals and slip-ons, Kolor’s boys embraced a wardrobe of separates that resonated with a charming lived-in quality, not so much that the clothes were worn but the fact that each piece had an air of the real world. Take for instance, the collection’s blazers. Cut a little short, blazers boasted duo-tones but were at the same time quite practical. This idea repeated itself with success as everything from joggers and layered shorts to deconstructed outerwear made a strong impact, fusing utilitarian aspects with style. Also, mixing formal and casual aspects such as the standard black jacket as a double-breasted knit cardigan, paired with wrinkled slouchy shorts solidified a youthful point of view that wisely preceded age.
