Dark and brooding, Komakino’s fall collection lends streetwear a striking modernity. Designing duo Jin Kim and Federico Capalbo have captured a dark and rebellious nature that is as unexpected as it is beautiful. Often deconstructed, the monochromatic collection plays with the mixing of fabrics. The affair between different fabrics highlights the collection’s attention to shape. Oversized shapes break with traditional forms devoid of coming across as heavy handed. The collection’s oversized tops are perfectly complimented by slim silhouetted pants. Adorned with rips, tears, and straps the pants are anything but ordinary. However, one pair manages to stand out by blending a billowing silhouette with a tapered leg. Similar to how these one pair of pants garner attention, Kim and Capalbo have created a collection of standout pieces that have the potential to offer personality and spontaneity to a basic wardrobe.

construction looks cheap.
could have taken the style lines further… some of the bondage styling is not edgy enough
