Lanvin Fall/Winter 2014–Approaching the season from a reality standpoint, Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz and men’s designer Lucas Ossendrijver made a timely proposal for fall/winter 2014. Honing in on a mix of sporty garments and chic tailored suiting, the collection opened the door for any occasion. With designs revolving around straight precise lines and anonymous heads inspired by statues, luxury was redefined for everyday essentials. Fur accented tailored coats. Leather was confined to dress shirts and short modern jackets with structured collars. Long skinny scarves and ties acting as a bright pop of color were narrow with a contemporary leaning. Meanwhile, hot pink and other vibrant hues dressed leopard and stripes for a rebellious guard, adding a little fun to the season’s strong lineup.
