A Lonely Existence–A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, German designer Daniel Andresen brings a rich point of view to his design narrative. Specializing in fabric mixing, Andresen ties together different elements for a varied platform. Honing in on surfaces for the fall/winter 2012 season, he was inspired by sea landscapes, imagining life on a deserted island. Working with a somber color palette and textiles that include silk, leather and gauze, a raw and organic feel effortlessly comes together with an impeccable sense of taste breathing life into a well-constructed wardrobe. From asymmetrical knits and zippered jackets to leather outerwear or slouchy pants, Andresen creates a collection that encompasses grounded style with a personal touch.
