It may be another busy Monday, but fifteen year-old photographer David Urbanke helps us take a step back with a relaxed look at a lazy Sunday with models Lenz Von Johnston and Beata Grabowska. Inviting us into their New York home, the roommates share an intimate moment as they lounge in comfort, dressed down in their own clothes from the day.

  1. I agree J. Paul. And I'm kinda getting tired of the whole fashion savants who are 12-15. Acknowledge them, and give them some time to grow, but let's stop making them the "next big thing" it's bad enough that the music industry is doing that right now. We need to admire a little maturity in our artists.

  5. i think the photographs are beautifully done and capture the essence of a "lazy sunday" perfectly. an overdone, over-styled, over-analyzed shoot would have been too excessive for such a simple concept. also, urbanke's age is completely irrelevant. if his age had not been tagged onto this post, the meaning of the shoot would've been entirely different. age is nothing but a number and these photographs are lovely.

  9. I can't disagree more with you.
You're assimilating the young workers in the music industry and on photography. It's not like that. 15 year old musicians aim to a specific audience — that is, 15 year old kids. But on the other hand, 15 year old photographers' works are for everybody, as every photographer's work.
I think you're judging too much by the age. Maturity doesn't come with age. Or at least that's what I think.
I'm not sure though, but I think you'd have a much different opinion if the post hadn't said that the photographer's fifteen.

  13. these are so lovely. and while yes some of the shots don't have the most fantastic composition, they are still very beautiful in their own right.

  17. The term "lazy sunday" brings up a lot of good memories, but the photos look like it's a boring sunday. The couple look really bored. Some details are missing. For the photo with the girl in bed will be much lively, if we could see a TV at the other end of the bed. For me a lazy sunday is in bed with junk food!
