Liam Gallagher covers British GQ’s September 2017 issue. Gracing the pages of the magazine, Gallagher appears before the lens of photographer Gavin Bond. Reflecting on his career, Gallagher reveals, “I just thought music was for losers. If I ever saw anyone with a guitar, I was like, ‘Go and kick a football, you weirdo.'”

The singer-songwriter continues, “The Manchester music scene was so grim in the eighties, soppy bands like The Smiths. I was like, ‘F*** that.’ I wanted to be a footballer, but I wasn’t disciplined enough. Growing up, I just wanted to do as little as possible. That’s why, eventually, the rock ‘n’ roll thing clicked. Sitting about drinking, looking good, taking drugs, wearing nice clothes, shouting into a microphone with your mates…I’ll do a bit of that.”
