Louis Vuitton presents its New York-inspired fall-winter 2017 men’s collection during Paris Fashion Week.

Louis Vuitton men’s artistic director, Kim Jones looks to the Big Apple for the inspiration of his fall-winter 2017 collection. Discussing how the outing relates to New York, Jones shares, “It’s uptown and downtown.” The collection captures “artists and musicians, friends and heroes.”

Traversing the decades, the lineup revisits style from the seventies, eighties, and early nineties. Artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Andy Warhol serve as muses for the season. A hip-hop aesthetic is also explored with resident icon Daniel “Dapper Dan” Day.

Alongside a fresh offering of loose tailored coats, pajama-inspired shirts dressed in New York graphics, relaxed trousers, and casual knitwear, Jones finds time for a collaboration. The designer sets sights on Supreme. Jones insists that “No New York City men’s conversation is complete without Supreme.” Together, the brands partner on a capsule collection of clothing, jewelry, and accessories.
