Lumen et Umbra is the brainchild of Italy-based designer Issei Fujita. After working with Carpe Diem, the designer launched his own line in 2006. Since the beginning, Fujita has been fascinated with the Japanese form of simplicity contrasted against western ideas. Fujita’s fall collection beautifully illustrates this idea with graceful silhouettes accompanied by a humble color palette. From the effortless oversized lapels of his outerwear to the tranquil warmth found in the collection’s distinct sweaters, Fujita shows that strength can come in subtle unassuming packages.
