For their fall collection, Mackage looked to the tension found in opposing elements for inspiration. From the campaign images to the clothes themselves, tension is found in the form of fabrics, both matte and shiny as well as the constructs of what is deemed masculine or feminine. The result is yet another sleek range of outerwear for the label. Marking the start of the fall season, Mackage will be opening its first free-standing retail location as a pop-up shop. The shop will be located in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District and open September 1, 2009. Located on Washington Street between Little West 12th and Gansevoort, the pop-up will be open for the duration of September before Mackage focuses their energy on their upcoming Parisian store that opens later this year.
