2013 marks an impactful year for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The hip-hop duo have taken the music world by storm with hits such as ‘Can’t Hold Us Down’, ‘Thrift Shop’ and ‘Same Love’. Their debut album has sold over a million copies and ‘Thrift Shop’ alone has over 7 million sold downloads in the United States. The 2014 Grammy Awards should prove to be a big night for the pair as they have been nominated for Album of The Year, Song of The Year for their marriage equality anthem ‘Same Love,’ Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for ‘Thrift Shop’, and Best Music Video for ‘Can’t Hold Us’. The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will occur on January 26, 2014 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and will be broadcast live on CBS.
