Embracing a carefree attitude for spring-summer 2017, Maison Margiela approached a relaxed season in its signature fashion. Unfinished threaded details popped as the fashion house tackled a laid-back wardrobe with soft tailoring. Suiting flourished with two-button numbers sprinkled throughout a lineup of modest vests, quilted bombers, knit singlets and unlined jackets. Layered shirts blended a neutral philosophy with graphic scenes of nature. Ultimately, the standout for Maison Margiela this season was a series of coats, offered up in generous proportions and a variety of understated textiles.
