Ryan Kennedy

Ryan Kennedy is an American model from Buffalo, New York, whose career spans luxury advertising and classic American menswear. His work for Gucci and Louis Vuitton established an international profile, followed by a broader portfolio encompassing fashion editorials and commercial campaigns.

In a 2013 interview with Marie Claire, he traced his discovery to a teacher’s suggestion and a scouting event in Buffalo. Business studies preceded his commitment to modeling. Speaking to Pony Ryder in 2011, Ryan recalled feeling uncertain about a career while taking business courses, then appreciating the travel and friendships that modeling offered.

He also acknowledged the difficulty of making plans around an unpredictable work schedule. His interests remained rooted in Buffalo’s sporting culture, including the Bills and Sabres, while his own wardrobe favored jeans and a T-shirt. The contrast with his professional assignments amused him: he credited Gucci and Louis Vuitton with helping his career while joking about their prices.

Gucci became a defining early association. Ryan appeared in the house’s cruise 2010 advertising and returned for its spring 2010 campaign, photographed by Mert & Marcus. Alongside those luxury bookings, magazine appearances in Numéro Homme and GQ established another strand of his work, moving between fashion imagery and men’s style publishing.

Later commercial assignments brought him into a more everyday menswear setting. For London Fog’s fall-winter 2018 campaign, he worked on the streets of New York, presenting the label’s signature outerwear. These assignments broadened a portfolio that links European luxury with the American wardrobe, from designer advertising to the practical appeal of a trench coat.
