Mysterious Print–Showing for a second season at FashionEast/MAN, Agi & Sam returns with a playful collection strong on bold patterns and colour for spring/summer 2013. Inspired by memories of being made to watch 1980s detective programs in their grandfathers’ homes, oversized prints of exaggerated florals, upholstery patterns and needlepoint embroidery adorned tailored blazers and trench coats in a more relaxed silhouette as well as sportswear pieces such as tracksuits, swimming shorts and a biker jacket. The bold print element continued through with a collaboration with Japanese company Tabio to create a range of printed sock. Fabrications included cloth made from recycled plastic soft drinks bottles as well as more traditional fabrics such as jersey, cotton and leather. A fun and unique take on modern menswear – signature perspective of Agi & Sam. / Words by Kenny Ho, Fashionisto London Fashion Editor.
