The New SportAstrid Andersen opened the MAN show with her signature take on contemporary men’s sportswear. Featuring a soft palette of lilac and dusty gold for the fall/winter 2013 season, a luxurious spin on fabric saw Japanese silk translated into jersey tees and crushed velvet track suits in dark chocolate as well as cashmere knits with mink and fox trims. A more experimental take on sportswear exaggerated shapes with oversized nylon wadded bomber jackets, padded sweatshirts, and bomber jackets with fur contrast sleeves. There was also the introduction of dark denim, with all-in-one jumpsuits and denim jackets with shiny brass zip details. / Words by KENNY HO
