Mark Vanderloo (Other Management) is photographed by Marta Hipolito for Wonder’s November 2015 cover shoot. Asked about what it feels like to be a model icon, Vanderloo shares, “Of course I feel flattered when you state that I am an ‘Icon’ in fashion with the longest career, but I don’t see it that way.”

The top model explains, “I have always with great pleasure done my job and yes it has been quite a couple of years but not the longest yet! I would like to continue as long as it will be possible and maybe still working at a 100, I will confirm the longest career…so far so good.”

Recalling his mindset when he started modeling, the 47 year-old icon confesses, “I have never imagined myself working in fashion this long. My goal was to do it for a couple of years and then comfortably slide into something else.”

Originally, Vanderloo had plans to open a bar or restaurant but that dream never materialized. Vanderloo says that “modeling didn’t let me go just yet and I never thought to be doing this for so long.”
