Marlon Gobel’s ‘Transhumanism’ spring/summer 2015 collection transported us to the future with the energy and style of a Stanley Kubrick film. The collection included dapper men in double-breasted blazers, neoprene trench coats as well as transhumans in silver crocodile motorcycle jackets with silver electronic head-gear. The presentation was both performance art as it was about the looks as the models came on and off the platform with military precision while the electronic music composed by Harrison Zafrin of Bombs and Bottles was playing. At Marlon Gobel you’ll always see a glimpse in to the future. / Written by Alejandro Lopez. Photos shot Richard Gerst using a vintage Leica lens and Fuji film stock.
