marni spring summer 2014 collection 0003Pin

Utilitarian Chic–Accented with checks, micro-cubes and dots, Marni looks to a functional yet stylish wardrobe for the spring/summer 2014 season. Approaching the collection with an industrial feel, functional attributes aid in creating new shapes and uses for the Marni man. Here a sleeveless blazer becomes a vest to wear over the top of a suit while contrast pockets are created for jackets with impeccably folded fabrics. Double layered, shirts create a second dimension. Marni utilizes capes for different functions depending how it is worn. One-button suits are furnished in denim fabrics. Collaborating with illustrator and typographer Katja Schwalenberg this season, Marni creates layered lino-cut prints with florals and leaves for shirts and tees.
