Embracing contrast and voluminous proportions, McQ Alexander McQueen presents its fall-winter 2016 men’s collection.

McQ Alexander McQueen channels its rebellious edge for its fall-winter 2016 men’s collection. The range was inspired by photographer Phyllis Galembo’s book MASKE, which features African carnival performers portraying characters from local traditions and spiritual rituals. Synthetic materials are used in each costume, embracing bold colors and patterns.

Borrowing from this idea, McQ revisited its Scottish ancestral history with a fresh interpretation on Fairisle knits, tartans and kilts. Offering an allusion of tribal prints, African masks and textiles contribute to an unusual color palette that brings Celtic patterns into a new light. Standouts from the new collection include kilt-inspired trousers, leather outerwear and modern windowpane dressed separates.
