Somber and reserved, Miharayasuhiro pays a modest homage to Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s Le Petit Prince with their spring 2010 collection. Drawing inspiration from the idea of abandonment in the desert, the collection’s color palette is faded and weathered. Using battered tops and layers of thin light-weight materials, the collection builds a core wardrobe around broken-in pieces that represent everyday life. Leather, sheer button downs and sequined leggings add glamor to the otherwise minimalistic collection. Alternatively–draped in a dream-like fashion, billowing shorts and trousers are the highlight of the fashion-forward collection.
